Flock of birds arrested at Russian border. Links with Ural Airlines emergency landing

A flock of roughly 24 birds were arrested at the border between Russia and Kazakhstan. Officials said the birds are connected with the emergency landing of an Ural Airlines A321 on Thursday. The birds (gulls) were on their way to leave Russia but are now detained in city of. Volgograd awaiting their process.

Some evidence, including some of the gulls smelling of jet fuel suggests that they were present at the time of the incident. Under Russian law, obstructing airspace is penalized by a maximum of 15 years in prison and a fine up to 10 million Rubles.
