Boeing 767 gets more legroom and larger windows with software update

While Boeing is busy with the 737 MAX 8, software engineers for the 767 series did not sit still. An upcoming software update will significantly increase passenger comfort.

All 767 series built after 1999 will get the free update provided by Boeing through the maintenance network. It will be installed automatically in the coming weeks.

The software update will address many issues such as the small windows and lack of legroom on many configurations. All eligible 767 models will also get 10cm extra wingspan for increased stability and get more fuel capacity to increase the range.

All airlines specific settings such as the livery will remain intact but having a backup of the plane in iCloud is recommended.
